Raedas is pleased to announce the promotion of Tobias Vollmer to Partner, joining Founding Partners Andrew Wordsworth, Joana Rego and Nicholas Bortman. This promotion recognises his outstanding contribution to the firm’s growth and his leadership across some of the most complex cross-border disputes, investigations and asset recovery matters in the market.
Since joining Raedas in 2020, during a period when many introductions and early working relationships were virtual, Tobias built a reputation as a trusted adviser. Over the past six years, he has become a partner relied on by corporate clients, family offices and legal teams navigating high-stakes litigation, arbitration and enforcement proceedings spanning Europe, the CIS, the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, North America, and offshore jurisdictions across the Caribbean and Asia.
His sustained engagement across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France has also played a key role in building Raedas’s profile and client relationships in continental Europe.
Over the course of his career, Tobias has advised on a broad range of matters. Evidence that he gathered has been relied upon before the High Court of England and Wales, various US district courts, European courts and arbitral tribunals constituted under the rules of ICSID, LCIA, ICC and many regional institutions. Tobias regularly works on high-profile fraud, conspiracy, corruption and bribery investigations around the globe.
Tobias’s promotion follows his debut recognition by Chambers & Partners in its Business Intelligence & Investigations rankings earlier this year. Highlighting his expertise in complex cross-border matters, clients have described him as their “go-to investigator,” adding: “Tobias Vollmer can do anything.”
This promotion marks an important milestone for both Tobias and the firm. A decade into Raedas’s journey, Tobias becomes its first internally promoted Partner, exemplifying the opportunities available to those who contribute to the firm’s growth. As Raedas continues to grow, Tobias will play a central role in shaping its next chapter within the partnership and management team.
