Raedas is pleased to announce that Partner Nicholas Bortman and Associate Managing Director Isabel Asquith will be speaking at London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2025, taking part in two key panels alongside prominent figures in the global disputes community.

On Wednesday, 4 June, Nicholas Bortman will join the panel “Hot Topics in Fraud and Asset Recovery”, where he will share insights on the latest developments in fraud, enforcement, and cross-border asset recovery. Nicholas will be speaking alongside Natalie Todd (Cooke, Young & Keidan), Jon Felce (Cooke Young & Keidan), Philip Riches KC (Twenty Essex) and Mark Baldock (Twenty Essex).

Later the same day, Isabel Asquith will speak on the panel “The Role of the London Courts in Investment Treaty Disputes Involving Latin America”, joining Alejandro Garcia (Stewarts), Manuel Casas (Twenty Essex), Dr Hasan Tahsin Azizagaoglu (Bench Walk Advisors) and Dr Gloria Alvarez (University of Aberdeen)The session will examine the English courts’ role in supporting investment treaty arbitration, with a focus on sovereign immunity defences, enforcement strategies, and emerging trends in third-party funding. Isabel co-heads Raedas’ sovereign disputes practice alongside partner Joana Rego.
