Associate Director/Director – MENA

We are looking for an experienced investigator with expertise managing complex cases in the Middle East and Africa. Candidates will have overseen a range of contentious investigations, including in support of litigation/arbitration and asset searches for the enforcement of awards and judgments. Applicants with experience in pre-transactional due diligence or integrity related projects will be considered in exceptional cases.

We undertake a large number of international asset searches and will expect candidates to be able to discuss strategy and methodology as well as demonstrating expertise in this area. While the focus of their work will be on MENA, the successful candidate will be expected to manage matters outside the region too.

Associate Directors will have three to five years’ experience in investigations, including at least two years managing complex matters. Applicants will be familiar with the availability of information in the GCC and northern Africa and will be competent to navigate the idiosyncrasies of the public record in these jurisdictions. Responsibilities will include: preparation of client proposals and deliverables; management of project billing and case profitability; taking on delegated internal projects.

Directors will have four to six years’ experience in investigations, including at least three years managing complex matters. Successful candidates will be able to develop case strategies and be comfortable presenting these to clients. Responsibilities will include the conversion of opportunities and the preparation of deliverables to client-ready standard.

Proficiency in Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish, Turkish or French is welcome, however not a necessity.
